Karen~That purple and orange combo is anything but boring. These final words of encouragement have tipped me over the edge. They are going on my wish list for fall planting, and I will think of you when they come up in the spring. Thanks!

Cool flag! I like the idea of hanging out a flag to signal folks to come on by, although I am too much of a hermit to actually do such a thing. :) Congrats on your Etsy store, I love that site!

Oh, fyi, crocus are so not any trouble at all! Easy to plant, no care required, always come up. The plain ones are kind of boring but those lilac-colored species ones you commented on have such an interesting shape and the color is so nice, I can't tell you how much enjoyment they are giving me right now! Cheap happiness, what could be better?!

Wendy~Thanks always for your visits and your kind words...they give me heart.

Grace~Sounds like a holdover from lifeguards' signs to let us know when it was safe to go in the surf when I was a kid. I'm thinking mine would also work for folks who live in big, nameless condominium complexes. That would definitely not be us.

Hi Ricki~~ I remember hearing a similar idea for the neighborhood swimming pool residence to manage the barrage of pint-sized guests. Kids were welcome to swim if they saw the flag. Your flag is for the bigger kids. :)

I think I know what you mean by pot flag. I like the concept of hanging a flag when the house is open for entertaining. Your flags, banners, pillows, everything are so beautiful.
